The Festive Farmhouse
The tradition of the teacher's apple began in the late 1700's. Before teaching was a paid position, families would show their appreciation by sending their most valuable, sought after fruit, because they recognized the value of a teacher.
And so do we.
Just as the apple seed needs nurturing and care to become a fruit-bearing tree, so do our children. And we are grateful for teachers who love them, teach them, and help them grow.
Measures 2 x 4, comes with keepsake gift card (pictured) with the text above.
Made from salvaged, recycled steel which means that each sheet (batch) will differ in tint and sheen. Some will be dark, some will be shiny, and some will have slight rustic wear.
A beautiful patina of rust can also be brought out by a minimal amount of exposure to humidity. If the rust is unwelcome you may rub grade 3 coarse steel wool over the top to remove any and/or all rust.
